Christopher Hausman, CMT, Director of Trading Operations
Chris started his career in December 1994, as an analyst in Structured Finance for NationsBanc Capital Markets. NationsBanc structured and priced asset-backed securities for issuance in the private, public and commercial paper conduit markets. In February 1996, Chris became a market maker for Wolverine Trading where he worked on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading options on the S&P 500 futures index and on the Pacific Stock Exchange trading options on Microsoft. Wolverine is a diversified financial institution specializing in proprietary trading, asset management, order execution services, and technology solutions, and is recognized as a market leader in derivatives valuation, trading, and value-added order execution across global equity, options, and futures markets.
In April 1999, Chris joined STC, LLC, an options broker-dealer founded and managed by Anthony Saliba, as the head trader trading listed options. In January 2002, Chris joined CAZ Investments, an asset management firm that provides wealth management strategies for institutional and individual clients, where he held the position of Senior Vice President and utilized listed options to generate returns and reduce risk for portfolios as well as monitored and assisted in all trading activities of the firm. He left CAZ in December, 2003 and joined SPM as a Principal and Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Portfolio Strategist in January, 2004, responsible for trading the Dynamic Hedge portfolio. Chris became Director of Trading Operations for the Firm in January, 2011. Chris was approved as a branch office manager for the Firm on April 1, 2011.
Chris is a member of the Market Technicians Association and is a Chartered Market Technician. Chris is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business with a degree in Finance. Chris maintains Series 3, 30, 63 and 65 licenses. Chris became an AP of the firm on April 1, 2011.
